The SOLAS Duo-Propellers are engineered with a high rake blade design featuring cupping, which provides outstanding stern lift and acceleration. These aftermarket duo-style propellers are intended as a replacement for Volvo Penta Duo outdrives. It is important to keep in mind that the loading on the propeller and engine RPMs may vary between Solas propellers and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) models. (This sizing information is directly sourced from the Solas 2013 Catalog.) Installing Solas aftermarket duo-style propellers may necessitate specialized tools and OEM hardware. We advise referring to the OEM manual for accurate installation and torque specifications.

The SOLAS Aluminum Duo-Prop A-Series Propellers are specifically crafted for diesel engines up to D41. The distinctive pairing of a 3-blade front propeller and a 4-blade rear propeller ensures remarkable grip in the water.

Solas propellers are produced using a cutting-edge squeeze casting technique, which enhances their strength and durability compared to conventional die-cast products. This method results in a nearly non-porous propeller with a finer grain structure. Furthermore, Solas Aluminum Propellers are treated with four layers of paint, employing high-quality coatings and an advanced painting process to provide exceptional anti-corrosion protection. Each propeller is subjected to over 500 hours of testing in a saltwater spray tank, simulating more than six months of typical saltwater exposure.
