The SOLAS Duo-Propellers feature a high rake blade design with cupping, delivering excellent stern lift and acceleration. These aftermarket duo-style propellers serve as a replacement option for Volvo Penta Duo outdrives. However, please note that propeller loading and engine RPMs may differ between Solas propellers and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) options. (This sizing information is directly from the Solas 2013 Catalog.) Installation of Solas aftermarket duo-style propellers may require special tools and OEM hardware. Be sure to consult your OEM manual for proper installation and torque specifications.
The SOLAS Aluminum Duo-Prop B-Series Propellers are designed for gas engines. The combination of a 3-blade front propeller and a 4-blade rear propeller provides exceptional grip in the water.
Solas propellers are crafted using an advanced squeeze casting process, making them stronger and more durable than traditional die-cast products. This method results in a nearly non-porous propeller with a finer grain structure. Additionally, Solas Aluminum Propellers are coated with four layers of paint, utilizing high-quality coatings and a sophisticated painting process to ensure outstanding anti-corrosion performance. Each propeller undergoes over 500 hours of testing in a saltwater spray tank, simulating more than six months of typical saltwater use.
Note: For engines that exceed speeds of 35 knots, the Stainless Steel Type C Propeller is recommended.
