Maintenance-free battery, engineered without any free electrolyte and offered in eight unique models. These batteries are particularly effective in applications requiring deeper discharges. The VETUS maintenance-free Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries are completely sealed and come equipped with a small ventilation opening for pressure relief. Made with lead-calcium plates, the electrolyte is absorbed by glass fiber mat separators, guaranteeing leak-proof operation during transport and even if the casing is damaged.

Specifically designed for marine applications, these AGM batteries are ideal for starting engines, operating winches, and powering bow thrusters. They deliver high MCA ratings, minimal self-discharge rates, and outstanding durability, continuing to operate without leaking even when compromised. They are especially suitable for continuous cyclic use, particularly when immediate recharging is accessible.

STORAGE
VETUS AGM batteries can be installed in any position, including upside down, but it is important to avoid charging them with the terminals facing downward. You can charge these batteries using any voltage-regulated battery charger set to the correct setting or via the engine alternator. For optimal performance, we strongly recommend utilizing VETUS battery chargers.
