Vulcan 25 (55 lb) Galvanized Anchor

The Vulcan® anchor is expertly designed to fit a wide variety of boat bow configurations. It provides a secure fit for any vessel, from small runabouts to large yachts and powerboats, including those with platforms and bowsprits.

This anchor features a unique shank and fluke design, along with an innovative roll-palm™ that helps it self-right on the seabed. The V-bulb™ extends the fluke ballast downward, maximizing leverage and efficiency. With a larger fluke surface area and a higher weight-on-tip compared to other designs, the Vulcan offers superior holding power and security. The absence of a roll-bar, combined with a carefully crafted shank profile, ensures compatibility with bow rollers. This anchor self-deploys easily from most bow rollers, making it user-friendly. Constructed from high-tensile steel, the unique I+V profile™ shank design enhances resistance to bending.

The Vulcan is developed from the Rocna anchor, designed by Peter Smith. Its lack of a roll bar improves storage at the stemhead, and it is galvanized for added durability. The Original Rocna set the standard for modern anchor holding power, and the Vulcan refines these design elements to create an even better anchor. Its design is compatible with bow rollers and stemheads, giving it universal appeal.

The new features of the Vulcan are detailed below:

• The Vulcan’s unique shank and fluke geometry includes an innovative roll-palm™ (A) at the rear of the fluke, enhancing self-righting capabilities. The V-bulb™ (B) also extends fluke ballast downward for maximum leverage and efficiency.
• The concave fluke (C), similar to the Rocna, provides increased holding power and security.
• The absence of a roll-bar, along with a carefully designed shank profile (D), ensures a snug fit on a wide range of vessels. It easily clears platforms, bowsprits, prods, stays, and other protrusions without hassle.
• The Vulcan’s shank shape (D) promotes self-launching and self-stowing upon retrieval on most bow rollers, allowing for smooth operation and ease of use for all boaters.
• In addition to high-tensile steel, the shank’s strength is enhanced by a unique I+V profile™ design (E), which improves resistance to bending through a computer-optimized I-beam geometry. This elegant design also enhances setting performance, with the lower V edge (F) cutting into the seabed for a deep and secure burial.
