Description

Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv –

The Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv chartplotters come equipped with a 7-inch color touchscreen display and include a worldwide basemap. This model features a high-sensitivity internal 10Hz GPS/GLONASS system that updates your position and heading ten times per second. You can also connect your smartphone or tablet using the ActiveCaptain App and Wi-Fi.

Only the Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv model includes Garmin CHIRP SideVu, CHIRP ClearVu, and CHIRP traditional sonar. To utilize the sonar features, you will need the 723xsv model.

Both the Garmin GPSMAP 723 and 723xsv come preloaded with a worldwide basemap. You can also purchase additional detailed Garmin BlueChart g3 marine charts on a pre-programmed microSD/SD card from ActiveGPS. The latest charts, known as BlueChart g3 Vision, offer premium features such as high-resolution satellite imagery of harbors and ports, auto guidance, MarinerEye for 3D information above the waterline, and FishEye for 3D information below the waterline.

The built-in sonar capabilities are standard only with the Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv model, which includes Garmin CHIRP SideVu, CHIRP ClearVu, and CHIRP traditional sonar. All three Garmin GPSMAP 723 chartplotters also support Panoptix all-seeing sonar, premium Garmin sonar, and a variety of transducers (sold separately). If you purchase the Garmin GPSMAP 723 (without sonar), you can add sonar capabilities later by buying a Garmin external black box.

Ultra High-Definition Scanning Sonar (Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv model ONLY)

The Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv model features built-in Ultra High-Definition SideVu and ClearVu scanning sonars, which provide vivid, high-contrast color palettes to help you distinguish fish from structures when paired with a compatible Garmin transducer. The GPSMAP 723xsv also supports 1 kW CHIRP traditional sonar capabilities.

  • Dual-frequency (50/200 kHz) sonar capable
  • Dual-beam (77/200 kHz) sonar capable

The Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv chartplotters support the following frequencies:

  • Traditional: 50/77/83/200 kHz
  • CHIRP (low, medium, high)
  • ClearVu (260/455/800 kHz)
  • SideVu (260/455/800 kHz)
  • UHD ClearVu/SideVu (800/1000/1200 kHz) (dependent on transducer)

To find the right transducer for your GPSMAP 723xsv and your boat, please complete our online transducer form. If you already know which transducer you need (though we recommend using our online form for the best match), you can view the full range of transducers available for purchase from ActiveGPS. Below, you can see examples of transom-mounted, thru-hull, and in-hull transducers.

The chartplotter refreshes your heading and position on the screen ten times per second, allowing for smooth viewing of your boat or yacht’s GPS position. It features a high-sensitivity, fast, responsive 10Hz GPS and GLONASS receiver. The GPSMAP 723 also includes NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity.

With built-in Wi-Fi, you can control the Garmin chartplotter using the BlueChart Mobile 2.0 app or the Garmin ActiveCaptain app. This connectivity allows access to the OneChart feature, smart notifications, software updates, Garmin Helm, Garmin Quickdraw Community data, and more.

The Garmin SailAssist sailing features let you view laylines, race start line guidance, an enhanced wind rose, heading and course-over-ground lines, true wind data fields, tide/current/time sliders, wind angle, set and drift, wind speed, and more.

Built-in ANT connectivity allows you to connect with some of your favorite devices, such as the Garmin quatix 5 marine watch, Garmin gWind Wireless 2 transducers, Garmin GNX Wind marine instruments, and wireless remote controls like the Garmin GRID 20 Remote Input Device.

The Garmin GPSMAP 723/723xsv models feature J1939 connectivity, enabling you to connect the chartplotter to various engines, including Yamaha engines. Additionally, the Garmin GPSMAP 723 models include OneHelm, an exclusive feature that consolidates the operations and capabilities of third-party devices, such as EmpirBus digital switching, onto one screen.
