Its centre of mass is intentionally positioned low to avert the risk of the anchor tripping under load or stress. The total weight of the anchor is concentrated directly at its sharp tip, enabling immediate penetration upon deployment. When a load is applied to the rode, the anchor instinctively aligns itself for optimal penetration, allowing its pointed tip to easily penetrate even the most challenging seabeds. Once embedded, the Spade anchor remains firmly in place without displaying any cyclic behaviour.
